I need help?

Boy do I feel your pain! I suffer from the same phobia - and that's exactly what it is...a phobia. I am married with two children, and I can't comfort my husband or my kids when they throw up. I instantly run away from the situation - it's like internal panic. It's awful - I obsess and worry about my husband or children getting the stomach flu. I've done some research on this phobia (called emetophobia) - and there are different treatments out there - hypnosis and such. Your phobia was most likely triggered from your experience with Rebecca years ago. As with most phobias, it's unlikely you can get over it on your own. I'm sure you've tried to talk yourself out of this fear a thousand times, only to find yourself back to square one when put in a situation when you think someone might throw up. I'm sure you'll receive responses that you should force yourself to watch someone throw up - but that won't solve the root of your phobia - and your anxious feelings will soon return. I wish I had some words of wisdom here, but I all I can say is that I completely understand. If you find any valuable info, please p it along to me as well! Best of luck to you...
