Over dose on codiene??????????

hey guys, im 20 and i have a question, this morning i had a drink of liquor (just one drink) and i made some sippin syrup (promethazine codeine with sprite) i mixed 2 ounces of the syrup with the soda, now i know thats a large amount, but its what im used to, please no slander, im not an addict by any means, i use this drug once a year if that recreationally, i just want to know if the one drink i had 9 hours ago can still affect the codeine, bcuz rappers have died with drinking alcohol with codiene at once, but i want to know if it can kill me because this was atleast 9 hours ago, again im just concerned, so plz dont concern me more with saying how bad it is, i would like an asnwer, i love you guys! lol and yahoo answers. have a good day - cya
