Is Barack Obama a hippocrite to talk about democracy?

When most of the dictators in power around the world are put in place by the united states government? The american government doesn't want democracy in place in a country, it prefers a dictatorship that will look after it's interests. If these american sponsored dictators decide to go their own way, then the us or nato invade. 2 examples of this are Saddam Hussein and the Shah of Iran.
