Finding family and friends?

im very new to computers, im learning has i go along,so i need your help to try and find my friends and family who live in blackpool, doncaster ,leeds i have not seen my family for over 8yrs and my friends for 40 yrs i would be grateful if somebody could take the time to write it down on how to find them thank you
