Can someone suggest a book for me to read?

Ok so I'm looking for something good to read and I kind of hate corny romances and stuff like that. I love all the Harry Potter books and the Lord of the Rings. I also just read the Road and really liked it. I've also enjoyed the Da Vinci code and Angles and Demons. Any suggestions would be great thanks!
